AssetExplorer Cloud monitors all software in the organization, eliminating security threats and optimizing software usage.
AssetExplorer Cloud scans your network to identify the software installed on workstations and manages software licenses, license agreements, and service packs.
Access scanned software under Assets > Software > Scanned Software. You can filter the software displayed in the list view by site, manufacturer, software type, and compliance using the drop-downs at the top.
You can also filter the software by the following categories:
- Software Suite: Displays applications that are grouped as suites. A software suite is a collection of related software applications managed under a single license by the vendor (e.g., Adobe suite and Microsoft Office suite).
- Zero Installation Software: Software applications that are not installed on any workstations.

Add New Software/Software Suite
- Go to Assets > Software > Scanned Software.
- Click New Software to add a software. To add a software suite, click the icon beside New Software and select New Software Suite.
- Use the pointers below to fill out the fields:

Images* | Add images to the software. You can attach images from the computer or the Cloud.

Suite Component Software
(Applicable only for software suite)

Component Software* | Select the component software to be included in the suite.
Software that is part of the suite is called component software.

Identify Suite Installations
(Applicable only for software suite)

Identify the suite installation based on the following rule
| Suite installations are workstations in which the suite licenses can be allocated.
You can identify suite installations automatically or manually by enabling the respective radio buttons. - To detect suite installations automatically, set a rule to determine the number of software installations on a computer by specifying the number.
- For manual selection of suite installations, choose from the Matched Suite Installation table.

When adding a software suite, managed software will be listed in Component Software. The software type will be set to Managed by default, and users will not be able to modify it.
List View Actions
- Search software: Use the icon to perform a column search on software.
- Choose columns: Choose the columns to be displayed for the software under .
- Set number of records per page: Set the number of records in a page and sort them as required under .
- Edit software/software suite: You cannot edit software details. However, you can modify the manufacturer, software category, and type:
- Change manufacturer: Select the software/software suite and click Actions > Modify Manufacturer.
- Change category: Select the software/software suite and click Actions > Modify Category.
- Change software type: Select the software/software suite and click Move To. Choose the software type from the drop-down.
- Delete Software: Select the software/software suite and click Delete.
Bulk actions can be performed for the edit and delete options.
