Downtime in CIs

Add, edit, delete, and track downtime for CIs in the Downtime tab on the CI details page.
Use the downtime filters to view active, scheduled, completed, or missed downtime.

Role Required: SDAdmin, SDCMDBAdmin, SDCMDBManager

Add Downtime 

  1. On the CI details page, go to the Downtime tab.
  2. Click Add Downtime.
  3. Use the pointers below to fill out the fields:
Field
Explanation
Description*
Enter a brief description of the downtime.
Downtime Type
Select the downtime type from the drop-down: Degraded Performance, Full ShutDown, Minor Impact, Partial Availability.

You can add more downtime types under Setup > Customization > Helpdesk > Downtime Type. Learn more.
CIs Involved*
Select the CIs involved from the drop-down.
Scheduled Start
Set the scheduled start and end date.
Scheduled End
Actual Start
Enter the actual start and end time of the downtime.
These fields can be filled after the downtime ends.
Actual End
*mandatory fields
  1. Click Save. The downtime will be added to the downtime list view.
 

 

Edit/Delete Downtime  

To edit or delete a downtime,
  1. Go to the Downtime tab on the CI details page.
  2. Click on the settings icon against the downtime and select the relevant option.

View Downtime Summary  

You can view the overall downtime summary related to a CI by accessing the Downtime Summary available in the Downtime tab.
