Enterprise Service Management

Enterprise Service Management (ESM) allows you to set up streamlined service management across your organization.   An organization can use ESM to manage multiple asset desks in one application, add users to various asset desks, and provide role-based access to users. 

Benefits of ESM:

1. Create unique instances: Set up dedicated asset desks for each department in your organization.
   
2. Unified Platform: Manage all several asset desks from a single console.
   
3. Implement an efficient asset desk: Design templates and service catalogs unique to the department.
   
4. Manage departments and users: Onboard departments, provide role-based access to users to each asset desk, and control organizational level settings from the same spot.
   

 

Terminologies:

ESM Portal - Central console from where you can access various asset desk instances.

ESM Directory - An index of organization-level configurations.

 

ESM Directory 

The ESM Directory is an index of organization-level configurations applicable to all asset desk instances in the organization. From the ESM Directory, organization admins can create new asset desk instances for each department, and assign owners who can add users.  

You can access the ESM Directory from the ESM Portal page.

You can also access the ESM portal from the left pane in an asset desk instance using the icon.
